Water
Water is an increasingly scarce resource - consequently, it is becoming more heavily scrutinised and expensive.
Using non-intrusive ultrasonic flow meters, or permanent flow meters, Energy NZ can record individual pipe flow rates so that a water balance diagram can be produced. This diagram will highlight where water is used on site, where misuse is occurring and where process water is being lost. We can also develop solutions and strategies for water use reduction, reuse and recycling.
In addition to this, Energy NZ investigates the efficiency of water pumping systems to ensure that pumps are well suited to their given task, are operating efficiency and pumping only the water necessary for the process. These measures are undertaken with the use of ultrasonic flow meters, three-phase power analysers and supplier pump-curve datasheets.
